Here are the manifestations of photoaging:
• Appearance of brown spots on the face, neck, back of the hands and body.
• Presence of red blood vessels visible on the surface of the skin, characterizing rosacea.
• Formation of wrinkles.
• Loss of radiance of the complexion, manifested by a yellowish or dull tint.
• Rougher and less elastic skin texture.
• Appearance of a precancerous or cancerous growth on the skin (“boo” which does not heal, etc.)
Rosacea is characterized by the presence of small red or purplish blood vessels as well as redness on the skin, often accompanied by increased sensitivity and irritation perceived by those affected.
Vascular rosacea also manifests itself by more diffuse redness and skin irritation, mainly on the cheeks, nose, sometimes the forehead and chin. Many patients with acne rosacea also have symptoms of rosacea. Acne rosacea is common and results in small red pimples on the skin, associated with redness.
Some patients may also develop thickened skin and enlarged pores over time.
Age spots, mainly due to sun exposure and aging, are a clear sign of skin damage.
